Carmi Police make several arrests on Wednesday and early Thursday

Carmi Police made a pair of warrant arrests on Wednesday morning.  Just after 11 am, officers went to a residence on Foley Drive and took 30 year old Ashley Jordan and 37 year old Gregory Burnett into custody.  Jordan was wanted on a White County warrant for theft, while Burnett was wanted on a Franklin County warrant for failure to appear on a charge of driving while suspended.  Both were transported to the White County Jail, and are being held pending the posting of bond.

55 year old Toby Sanders of Carmi was arrested at his 6th Street residence on a White County warrant for theft by Carmi police.  Sanders was taken into custody at 6:12 pm and transported to the White County Jail.  He is being held on a $150 bond.

Wednesday night, 30 year old Jayden Mullins was arrested by Carmi officers at her 5th Street residence on a White County warrant for failure to appear on a charge of possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.  Mullins was transported to the White County Jail and released on a recognizance bond.

Following a traffic stop early Thursday morning, Carmi Police arrested a 17 year old male juvenile and 33 year old Keri Tarrants of Carmi on charges of possession of methamphetamine.  Officers pulled over the vehicle driven by the juvenile at 12:50 am in the First Bank parking lot on West Main Street.  The juvenile was additionally charged with driving a motor vehicle with a suspended registration and was later released to the custody of his mother.  Tarrants was taken to the White County Jail and is being held without bond pending a court hearing.  She was additionally charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.
