Friday night, Carmi Police officers arrested 33 year old Rachel Pezzoni of Shawneetown after witnessing her commit battery after responding to a verbal argument. Officers arrived at 202 Fackney Street at 7:39 pm and saw Pezzoni shove another female. Pezzoni was also charged with disorderly conduct and taken to the White County Jail, where she was later released after posting a $150 bond.
Carmi officers arrested 28 year old Tisha Coburn of Windsor, Vermont and 49 year old Michael Williams of Carmi following a traffic stop at Schumaker and Stewart Streets Friday night at 10:16 pm on drug charges.
Coburn, the driver, was found to have in her possession a glass pipe and was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia. She was later released from the White County Jail after posting a $150 bond.
Williams was found to be in possession of 2.2 grams of methamphetamine, glass smoking pipes with residue, and an open container of alcohol. He is being held without bond at the White County Jail pending a court hearing.
At 1:22 am Saturday, Carmi Police conducted a search warrant at 805 Smith Street, the residence of David Strean. Inside, officers found just under two grams of methamphetamine, spoons with meth residue, glass pipes and straws with meth residue, cash, and digital scales. Strean was not at the residence at the time of the search, but it was learned that he was at the residence of Serena Dunn on Herbert Ave.
Neither Strean nor Dunn would answer the door for officers, but a report has been sent to States Attorney Denton Aud, and Chief Jason Carter expects multiple charges to be filed. The White County Sheriff’s Department assisted in the detail.
Saturday night, Carmi officers arrested 24 year old Brandon Fromm of Carmi following a traffic stop at Main and Main Cross Streets. Fromm was taken into custody at 9:20 pm for possession of drug paraphernalia, driving on a suspended license, and operation of an uninsured motor vehicle. Fromm was released from the White County Jail after posting a $150 bond.
45 year old Julie Sietz of Carmi was arrested Saturday at 10:43 pm on a White County warrant at a residence on Gilpin Street. Sietz was transported to the White County Jail and is was later released after posting a $1500 bond.
