Carmi Police arrested 58 year old Vernon Hott of Carmi Saturday morning for DUI following a traffic stop on Lexington Avenue. Hott was stopped at 11:01 am and was additionally charged with driving on a revoked license. Hott was transported to Ferrell Hospital, and later was released with a notice to appear in White County Court.
30 year old Michael Ridings of Mt. Vernon, Illinois was arrested by Carmi officers Saturday night for driving on a suspended license after a traffic stop at Rock Bottom Liquors. Ridings was taken into custody at 11:46 pm and taken to the White County Jail, and was released after posting a $150 bond.
Carmi Police arrested 30 year old Jason Ballard of Carmi on two White County warrants Sunday afternoon. Ballard was wanted on charges of criminal trespass and criminal damage to property, and was taken into custody just after noon at a residence on 6th Street. At the time of his arrested, Ballard was found to be in possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia. Ballard is being held at the White County Jail without bond on the drug charges pending a court hearing, and $300 bond on the warrants.
At 7:15 pm Sunday, 39 year old Jedediah Burnett surrendered himself at the Carmi Police Department on a White County warrant. Burnett was processed by Jail staff and was released after posting a $150 bond.
