Carmi Police log busy Monday, make three arrests

Carmi Police took a theft report Monday afternoon at 1:42 pm.  Todd Stubblefield told officers that someone had stolen three pairs of work uniforms from the 3rd Street Laundry.

At 4:30 pm Monday, Carmi police arrested 27 year old Daniel R Guffey III at his 7th Street residence on a list of charges related to a domestic incident.  Guffey has been charged with aggravated domestic battery, criminal trespass to a residence, violation of an order of protection, interference with domestic violence reporting, criminal damage to property, and assault.

Guffey is currently being held without bond at the White County Jail pending a court hearing.

32 year old Kendra Pennington of Carmi was arrested by Carmi Police at her 6th Street residence at 7:38 pm Monday on a White County warrant.  Pennington was transported to the White County Jail and is being held in lieu of a $150 bond.

An Evansville, Indiana man was arrested Monday night for DUI and driving on a suspended license by Carmi Police after a traffic stop in the Rock Bottom Liquors parking lot.

32 year old Kevin Merritt was taken into custody at 10:15 pm after he was pulled over for speeding and no rear registration lights.  He was transported to the White County Jail and is being held in lieu of a $300 bond.
