The Carmi Police Department made four arrests on Thursday after executing three search warrants according to a statement by Police Chief Jason Carter.
Officers, along with deputies from the White County Sheriff’s Department executed two warrants at 6am, and the third at 10:30am based on information that was received about drug related items and drug activity.
At 904 Oak Street, officers took 39 year old Shawn Peyton and 21 year old Josette St. John into custody and were both charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of cannabis, illegal possession of hypodermic syringes, and endangering the life or health of a child.
45 year old Michelle Buchanan was arrested at 1109 Valter Drive. She has been charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, and illegal possession of hypodermic syringes.
43 year old Raymond Roundtree was arrested at a residence at 627 S. Church Street and has been charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of cannabis, possession of a controlled substance, and obstructing justice after attempting to destroy evidence.
All four individuals were transported to the White County Jail and are awaiting bond hearings.
