A man with addresses in both Marion and Norris City that led Carmi Police on a chase in early August was captured yesterday morning. 56 year old Harold Littlefield was found Tuesday morning at the residence of Jerry Lamont on Maple Street. Littlefield was taken into custody and has been charged on a warrant for aggravated fleeing and resisting. He’s also been charged with unlawful use of property, possession of meth and possession of paraphernalia after a search of his vehicle.
You may remember Littlefield was pulled over last week in an alley near 413 7th Street in Carmi. A police officer approached Littlefield’s Jeep Cherokee and noted he was in possession of what appeared to be a large amount of meth. Littlefield resisted arrest and eventually jumped back into the vehicle, leading Carmi Police, along with White County Sheriff’s Deputies, Hamilton County Sheriff’s authorities and McLeansboro Police on pursuit. The chase ended just outside Enfield when officers lost sight of Littlefield’s vehicle due to traffic and dust from the county roads.
Littlefield is out on bond currently.

Carmi Police filed a report charging Boaz with disorderly conduct as well as a ticket for possession of less than 10 grams of pot. She was picked up following a call to police yesterday morning in response to a fight in progress at 617 Oak Street. When the blue arrived, a witness advised Boaz was in a physical altercation with 36 year old Dustin Acord of 507 Oak Street. The pair were allegedly yelling and cursing at each other when Acord threw Boaz to the ground and attempted to choke her. Boaz refused to sign a complaint or provide information. Acord was charged with Domestic Battery. He remains behind bars.
