Carmi Police Arrest Two on Drug Charges
The Carmi Police Department arrested a Grayville resident and a Harrisburg resident on drug charges Tuesday, although the two arrests were not related.
Shortly before 7 Tuesday evening, Ashley M. Bebout of 620 Spring Street, Grayville was arrested after she allegedly stole a truck belonging to Noel Brown and took it to the Carmi Motel.
She was charged with theft, burglary and additionally charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession of cannabis, less than 10 grams and possession of drug paraphernalia after correctional officers discovered items in a bag brought to the jail belonging to Bebout.
She remained in custody this morning pending setting of bond.
Shortly after midnight this morning (wed) local authorities arrested Jacqueline Jordan of Harrisburg. She was charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession of cannabis and possession of drug paraphernalia.
She also remained in custody Wednesday morning.
