Carmi Police officers arrested 30 year old Michael Ridings of Carmi early Thursday morning following a traffic stop on Oak Street.
Officers noticed that Riding’s vehicle had only one headlight and initiated the stop. During a records check it was discovered that Riding did not have a valid driver’s license, and he was taken into custody at 1:39am. Riding was also cited for driving an uninsured motor vehicle. Riding was processed at the White County Jail, and later released after posting bond.
A passenger in Riding’s vehicle, 28 year old Dixie Vaughn of Carmi was cited for illegal transportation of alcohol.
A traffic stop early Friday morning led to the arrest of a Tennessee man by Carmi Police. 37 year old William Brown of Old Hickory was stopped at the intersection of Robinson and Rice Streets at 1:09am. He was charged with driving on a revoked license, improper use registration, and operation of an uninsured motor vehicle.
Brown was transported to the White County Jail, and was later released on bond.
