A 47 year old Granite City man, Clayton E. Coaliron, was arrested by Carmi Police Friday morning on a White County Warrant for Failure to Appear on a charge of Possession of Methamphetamine and a Wayne County Warrant for Failure to Appear on a charge of Unlawful Purchase of Pseudoephedrine. Officers spotted Coaliron near 607 Sycamore Street in Carmi. Coaliron ran on foot and was caught a block and a half later. He was additionally charged with Resisting a Peace Officer and Unlawful Possession of Weapons by a Felon, as he was carrying a switchblade knife. Coaliron is being held on $3,650 bail.
A 32 year old Crossville woman was arrested Saturday afternoon on a White County Warrant for Failure to Appear. Sheena N. Garrett turned herself in to the White County Sheriff’s Department, where she posted $400 bond and was released.
