Carmi Police arrested 49 year old Curtis Sexton of Carmi at his residence just before 8:30 am Friday on a Franklin County warrant for failure to appear on a traffic offence. Sexton was transported to the White County Jail and was released after posting a $300 bond.
30 year old Sean Steele of Norris City was arrested by Carmi Police after they received a call about a man drinking in a car at Bradshaw Park. Officers arrived just after noon on Saturday and found Steele with an open bottle of alcohol and a loaded handgun. Steele admitted to drinking and refused a breath test. Steele has been charged with aggravated DUI, driving on a revoked license, and unlawful use of weapons. He is being held at the White County Jail pending a court hearing.
Saturday night, Carmi officers arrested 35 year old Jade Boren of Carmi at his residence on a charge of domestic battery. Boren was taken into custody at 9:18pm and transported to the White County Jail, where he is being held pending a bond hearing.
