A joint detail between the Carmi Police Department and the Illinois Liquor Control Commission resulted in a half dozen citations against businesses and employees. The effort was undertaken on Thursday evening specifically at established liquor license holders within the city. Carmi Police found Mr. Jalapeno, Tequila’s, Casey’s, American Legion Post 224, Pundrake’s, and Danny’s Pool Room all served alcoholic beverages to underage persons. In addition to the businesses being cited, the individuals who failed to check IDs also received reprimands.
