The Carmi Police Department continued to conduct their warrant sweep over the weekend.
At 1:13 pm Friday, Carmi officers arrested 49 year old Melinda Rankin at her Carmi residence on Hillsdale Avenue on a White County warrant for failure to appear on a DUI charge and a Hamilton County warrant for failure to appear on an aggravated DUI charge. Rankin is being held at the White County jail on a combined bond amount of $800.
43 year old David Brockett of Carmi was arrested Friday afternoon on a White County warrant for forgery. Officers located Brockett at a residence on 7th Street, but Brockett exited through a back door and was apprehended at the intersection of 8th and Smith Street at 2:43 pm. At the time of his arrest, Brockett was found to be in possession of a small amount of methamphetamine, and was charged with possession of the drug. Brockett is being held at the White County Jail without bond pending a court hearing.
At 7:27 pm Friday, Carmi Police arrested 19 year old Brittany McDonald of Carmi at a residence on Sycamore Street on a White County warrant. McDonald is being held in lieu of a $150 bond at the White County Jail.
33 year old Steven Smith of Carmi was arrested at 10:47 am Saturday at a residence on Fairview Drive by Carmi Police on a White County warrant for failure to appear on a charge of driving on a suspended license. Smith was transported to the White County Jail, and is being held in lieu of a $575 bond.
Saturday afternoon, 34 year old Serena Short was arrested by Carmi Police at her residence on Herbert Avenue on two White County warrants for theft. Short is being held at the White County Jail on a total bond amount of $300.
