Thursday afternoon, 54 year old Michael Cies of Carmi surrendered at the Carmi Police Department on a White County warrant for failure to register as a sex offender. Cies was taken into custody at 3:38 pm and transferred to the White County Jail. He is being held on a $250 bond.
