In White County Court Wednesday morning, 58 year old Darren McGuire of Carmi was sentenced to five years in prison on a charge of aggravated driving under the influence and three years on a charge of driving while license revoked.
According to States Attorney Denton Aud, the two sentences will run concurrently, and McGuire will be under mandatory supervised release for two years following incarceration.
McGuire was represented by Public Defender Brian Shinkle, and was sentenced by Judge T. Scott Webb. The Carmi Police Department arrested McGuire following a traffic stop July 13th.
