27 year old Robert Anthony Belka of Carmi was sentenced in White County Court Wednesday to three and a half years in prison on one count of retail theft according to States Attorney Denton Aud.
Following incarceration, Belka will be under one year of mandatory supervised release, and Belka was ordered to pay all mandated fines, fees, costs, assessments, and restitution.
Carmi Police arrested Belka Friday night following a traffic stop and investigated the theft case. Belka is also facing a charge of possession of methamphetamine from Friday’s arrest.
