In White County Court Wednesday morning, 34 year old Jesse Stephens of Carmi was sentenced to three years in prison on a charge of obstructing justice according to White County States Attorney Denton Aud.
Stephens also received a three year sentence on one count of possession of a controlled substance. The two sentences will run concurrently.
Stephens was originally given probation on the controlled substance charge, but that was revoked when he was arrested by Carmi Police on June 6th.
Following incarceration, Stephens will be under mandatory supervised release for one year, and was ordered to pay all mandated fines, fees, costs, and assessments.
