A Carmi man entered a guilty plea in US District Court on Thursday to an indictment charging him with four counts of distributing methamphetamine in White County.
38 year old Bobby D. Morrill entered the plea at the courthouse in Benton. The indictment alleged that the offenses occurred on August 31st, September 8, 9, and 16 2015. The case was investigated by the Southern Illinois Drug Task Force. A federal grand jury handed down the indictment in December, and Morrill has been held without bond since January.
Sentencing has been set for June 22 in Benton. On each count, Morrill faces up to 20 years imprisonment, a $1 million fine, and three years of supervised release.
