A Carmi man was sentenced to three years in prison and one year of mandatory supervised release in White County Court on Monday. States Attorney Denton Aud announced that 54 year old Michael Melendez was convicted on one count of forgery. Melendez was also ordered to pay all mandatory fines, fees, and assessments as well as restitution to his victim. The case was investigated by the White County Sheriff’s Department.
