The Carmi League of Arts will once again host the Holly Jolly Follies on Sunday, December 18 at 2:30 p.m. This holiday variety show will be held in the CWCHS Auditorium. Admission is free with a donation of non-perishable food or diapers. These items will be donated to local food pantries. Last year’s show included both vocal and instrumental music, comedy and puppetry.
Auditions will be held on December 10 from 9:00 am to Noon in the CWCHS Auditorium. The show will be directed by Sherry Passmore, League President. Auditioners are asked to bring everything they will need for their act. No accompanist will be available. For more information about auditions, contact Passmore at [email protected].
There will be one practice on December 17 at 10:00 am in the Auditorium.
New this year will be a group sharing a few songs from Handel’s Messiah. If anyone wishes to participate in this chorus, email Passmore or come to auditions at 11:30 am on December 10. Extra practice times will be held for the chorus.
In the lobby of the auditorium, immediately following the show, the League will sell baked goods. These cakes & pies will be perfect for holiday meals. Each year the CWCHS Drama Department attends a show at the Fox Theatre in St. Louis. Proceeds from this bake sale will help supplement the cost of the students’ tickets.
