Carmi Kiwanis Serves More Than a Thousand Pancakes

Carmi Kiwanis Serves More than a Thousand Pancakes Saturday

Carmi Kiwanis President Katelyne Wolff reported a successful fundraiser for the organization over the weekend.  The past president, Holly Healy in this case, is in charge of organizing and chairing each year’s Pancake Day event.  Wolff says at two pancakes per serving, the club served more than 500 people on Saturday.

In addition to breakfast, art students were also displaying their work during the get together.

The club will join together again this Thursday when Rachel Stephens, a Carmi White County Athletic Trainer from Wabash General Hospital will serve as the program.  The following Thursday, March 7th, Wolff has indicated club members will be voting for this year’s Corn Day theme.  Bart and Megan King will visit the club on March 14th to tell members about the adoption process they’ve recently gone through in bringing a child home from China to join their family.

If you’re interested in joining Kiwanis as a member or a guest for any of these programs, you can reach Wolff directly at her office within the First Bank downtown Carmi branch.
