Carmi Council Meeting Tuesday
The Carmi City Council will meet for the last of the November meetings Tuesday evening at 5:30 with several items of business to deal with.
That includes a resolution for improvements for Burrell Street project closeout for the Illinois Department of Transportation.
The council will consider the appointment of Chris Marsh to fill the vacancy of Mike Thomas on the Fire and Chief Commission Board. Thomas plans to retire in December. Marsh will served from Dec. 1 of this year through Dec. 1 of 2019.
Council will also be asked to consider the Jan. 1, 2019 meeting as that Tuesday is a holiday.
Other matters before the council include reports and updates from Mayor Jeff Pollard and the standing committees, along with approval of meeting minutes and financial invoices.
The city council normally meets the first and third Tuesday of each month.
