Carmi City Council will meet Tuesday night at 5:30 p.m. in Council Chambers. Amy McCarthy, representative of the University of Illinois Extension will talk about the Gift Garden. Council will consider closing Cherry Street from Walnut to Main Cross for the annual Trunk or Treat. They will accept and award bids for a Case IH C 100 tractor. David Coston, Electrical Engineer, will discuss the city’s plans to move forward with the power plant. There will also be reports from the Mayor and standing committees, comments from visitors, and a closed session to discuss personnel and property issues with no action to follow.
