The Carmi City Council will meet Tuesday evening at 5:30 pm in the City Council Chambers. On the agenda, for consideration, is Christmas bonuses for City employees and Light and Water employees ($60.00 plus $5.00 per year longevity for full-time employees and a flat rate $60.00 for part-time employees, firemen and EMA members as was paid in 2018.) Council will also discuss street sweeper options and Electrical Engineer, David Coston, will give an update to council on the generator #11 insurance claim. There will be reports from Mayor Pollard and standing committees, as well as comments from visitors. The meeting will be followed by a closed session to discuss property issues with possible action to follow.
