Burrell Wood Bust
Carmi Police arrested two people early Tuesday morning at Burrell Woods, one on a warrant, the other on alcohol related charges.
Anthony M. Durbin, 30 of South Chicago, Ill was arrested on an outstanding Saline County warrant.
Local authorities also arrested Melissa A. Hiland, 29 of Hazel Crest, Ill on a charge of driving while under the influence, alcohol, with a BAC of .08 or more.
The two were arrested shortly after 1 a.m., when Carmi police investigated the vehicle at the Burrell Woods campground. During the contact, authorities discovered an open alcohol container in the vehicle.
Durbin’s bond was set at $500 cash, while Hiland’s was set at $100. However, both remained in custody early Tuesday morning.
