Brief and Productive Meeting for Grayville Council

Brief and Productive Meeting for Grayville Council

The Grayville City Commissioners met for about 15 minutes this week covering a number of items on a light agenda and tabling several other items.

Three bids were received for a building for salt storage. Two of the bids were for steel carport type structures and one from Wabash Valley Service Company was a wood frame. The Wabash bid was accepted in the amount of $11,358.64.

Two bids were received for audit services. Botsch and Associates three year contract at $14,250 each year was accepted by the Grayville commissioners.

The commissioners discussed contributions to the Edwards County K-9 program, and while the discussion on the matter was favorable, no set amount was decided upon.

In other matters, a request to vacate a portion of High Street was tabled again and there was no action or discussion on a request for property near the sewer lagoon.

Sale of excess property was tabled as Grayville Attorney Jay Walden is still working on a notice.

A truck purchase for the sewer department was also tabled as bids are still being accepted.

The Grayville commissioners normally meet the second and fourth Monday of each month. The meetings are open to the public.
