A Belleville Illinois man is behind bars at the White County Jail following his arrest Wednesday afternoon. Carmi Police say 31 year old Anthony Bridges called 911 just after 3pm, telling dispatch he needed assistance removing a female from a Fairview Drive residence. He quickly followed up that call with another asking to officers to disregard his initial call. Meanwhile, dispatch advised an officer en route of an active felony warrant that had been issued for Bridges for Retail Theft charge. Carmi Police placed Bridges under arrest upon arrival. He’s being held on $1,500 bond.
