Basketball; NCOE Wins
The Norris City Omaha Enfield Fighting Cardinals defeated Waltonville 63 to 57 Monday night for Coach Jim Tucker’s first regional win.
The Cardinals will now advance in regional play and face Woodlawn Wednesday night.
Jeff Skaggs and Joey Lane had the action covered for WROY AM 1460 and 92.1 FM.
Coach Jim Tucker was very pleased with the win and is looking forward to Wednesday night;
Wednesday’s game can be heard hear on WROY AM 1460 and 92.1 FM. Game time is 6, so Jeff and Joey should be on the air around 5:45 or 5:50 Wednesday evening. If the Cardinals win Wednesday, they would advance to the regional championship Friday night.
The Carmi White County Bulldogs will also be in action Wednesday as they face Eldorado at the Harrisburg Regional. Game time, 7 p.m.; Jason Craig and Chris Lucas will cover the Bulldogs. They will be on the air around 6:45 or 6:50 Wednesday evening on our sister station; WRUL 97.3 FM and online at wrul.com
If the Bulldogs beat Eldorado they would advance to most likely face the Fairfield Mules.
