Basketball Coverage Begins
With the fall sports season all but wrapped up, with the exception of state finals, WROY/WRUL Sports now turns our attention to basketball.
WROY/WRUL will again this year have a full schedule of games to be broadcast, including the Evansville Aces, Carmi White County girls and boys and Norris City Omaha Enfield boys basketball.
Our broadcast schedule actually begins this weekend, when Evansville will take on New Mexico. That game is set for Saturday at 1 and will be broadcast on WROY AM1460 and 92.1 FM. The Aces will play Illinois Thursday, Nov.8 at 7p.m.. Saturday, Nov.10, the Aces will play Xavier and then Ky Wesleyan on Thursday, Nov. 15.
The first high school games to be broadcast will be the Carmi White County Lady Bulldogs at Mt. Carmel, Thursday, Nov. 15 at 7:45 that evening. The game will be broadcast on WRUL 97.3 and will also be available on wrul.com
The first Carmi White County boys game to be aired will be Tuesday, Nov. 20 at the boys take on Gallatin County. That game will be broadcast on WRUL 97.3 FM and wrul.com Game time; 7:45.
NCOE will participate in the Christopher Tourney the week of Nov. 19 through the 24th. The games will be at various times, and can be heard on WROY AM1460 and 92.1 FM, as well as wrul.com.
Basketball season will continue through March as the Aces round out the season. Most high school broadcast will conclude in February at the boys regionals begin Feb. 18.
