The Art Alliance of Southern Illinois is celebrating the opening of their group exhibit in the Made in Mt. Vernon Gift Shop at the Mt. Vernon Convention & Visitors Bureau. The reception will take place Friday, May 5th from 5 to 7 p.m. and will feature paintings, blacksmithing, jewelry, pottery, metal work, drawings, and mixed media from local artists. This is a free event open to the public and complimentary refreshments will be served.
