In an effort to help the public make informed decisions in the upcoming Consolidated Election April 4th, we at WROY/WRUL News asked candidates in the contested races for the City of Carmi to fill out a short questionnaire.
Tracy Nelson
Carmi Alderman Ward #4
- Tell us a little about yourself.
I graduated from Carmi High School 1980. I have associates degree in Electronic Engineering Technology. My wife Stephanie and I have been married for 29 years. We have 3 children; Lacey, Lucas, and Alex. I have been employed at Toyota Motor Manufacturing Indiana for 18 years.
- Why do you want to serve?
I have lived in Carmi my whole life and I feel it is my honor and privilege to give back by serving the citizens of Carmi.
- What are the biggest issues you see facing your desired position? How do you plan to address these issues?
The infrastructure of this town is showing signs of wear. I would work with City employees and Engineers to make upgrades and repairs as we move forward.
- What sets you apart from the other candidates? Why should voters choose you on April 4th?
I would like to offer my leadership skills to the citizens of Ward 4 and the City of Carmi. If elected, I will listen and discuss any issues with an open mind and make decisions based on what we agree would be the most beneficial for the success of our town.
