A wide variety of wellness-related topics will be addressed by a number of vendors featured at this year’s Health Fair at Southeastern Illinois College. The event is scheduled for Wednesday, Oct. 23, from 9 a.m. until noon in the SIC Harry Crisp Student Center in “B” Building.
Of the booths scheduled to be on hand, there will be different screening options available including blood pressure by Shawnee Rose Care Center, spinal screenings by Steward Chiropractic and depression screenings by Senior Enrichment at Hamilton Memorial Hospital.
Flu shots will also be available at an affordable rate provided by Egyptian Health Department.
Coinciding with the health fair, SIC’s Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society will be sponsoring a blood drive from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., in the college’s Visual and Performing Arts Center Lobby.
The Health Fair is open to the public. Booth spaces are still available for any health-related organizations that wish to present. Those interested in procuring space for a booth may call Lori Cox 252-5400, extension 2300.
