Addiction as a Brain Disease
The Egyptian Health Department’s Recovery Oriented System of Care program will present, “Addiction as a Brain Disease” Thursday evening.
The special program will run from 5:30 until 7:30 Thursday at the Dorrisville Baptist Church on Feazel Street in Harrisburg.
The program will address the history of the disease model, healing processes and recovery and its stages.
Brent Van Ham, a research development coordinator with the Department of Population Science and Police at SIU School of Medicine.
