When a patients’ wish is to see one more McKendree University Basketball Game in person, you make that happen!!! Hospice of Southern Illinois would like to invite you to a very special evening honoring a patient who made one little comment to our nurse.
Hospice of Southern Illinois is collaborating with McKendree University and Harry Statham, McKendree University Head Basketball Coach, to grant this very special wish on December 14th around 6:30 p.m. Our patient thinks he is just attending the game, but everyone has much more in store for him! Not only is our patient, who is also a McKendree University Alum, going to the game, but Head Coach Statham and the 2016-17 McK Basketball team will stop the warm-up clock to honor this very special alum who’s dying wish was to see one last McKendree Basketball game in person.
There will be a short honor ceremony, presentation and celebration before the game to make this a memorable day for all. (The patient will arrive at 6:30 p.m., 6:45 p.m. will be the ceremony, and 7:00 p.m. is game time.) We would love your support to document this special occasion so it lives on in the news and media. We will be making a collage of photos and short video for the patient upon completion. Thank you for your consideration to take the time to make this an even more memorable day than it already is!
