The Carmi Police Department took a report of a stolen bicycle on Wednesday. Just before 4pm, Donita Smock told officers that someone had taken a boys Mongoose bike from her yard at 911 Stewart Street sometime Tuesday or Wednesday.
The bike was registered with the Carmi Police Department.
Carmi Police received a report of a theft on Thursday afternoon. Erin Pennington told officers at 4:15pm that sometime between Friday, June 10 and Thursday, June 16 someone took two rings from her Elm Street residence.
Just after 7:30pm Carmi officers arrested 18 year old Tarynn Browning of Carmi at her Smith Street residence on a charge of domestic battery. Browning was transported to the White County Jail, where she is being held without bond pending a court hearing.
