43 year old Greg Pinkard of Carmi was arrested by the Carmi Police Department on a Williamson County warrant Saturday afternoon, and is facing additional charges now in White County.
Pinkard was taken into custody at 2:44am after a traffic stop in the Jumpin’ Jimmy’s parking lot. During a search of Pinkard’s vehicle, officers discovered a meth pipe, and arrested him on the new charges. Pinkard is being held without bail on White County charges of possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, operation of an uninsured motor vehicle, and no valid registration, and a $500 bond for the Williamson County warrant.
Saturday afternoon, 25 year old James Belka of Carmi was taken into custody by Carmi Police on charges of possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, and criminal trespass. Belka was arrested at 405 5th Street and transported to the White County Jail at 2:50pm and is being held without bail pending a court hearing.
Three White County teens were arrested for illegal consumption of alcohol by a minor on Saturday night by Carmi Police. 18 year old Tristan Buchanan of Norris City and 18 year old Trae Smith of Carmi along with a 17 year old male juvenile were arrested at a residence at 301 Twelth Street just after 7:15pm. Buchanan and Smith both were released from the White County Jail after posting $150 bonds each.
Late Saturday night, Kimberly Stover reported to city police that between 4:30pm and 11:30pm Saturday, someone stole a 7” LG tablet and charger from her residence. Police took the report at 11:43pm.
