Carmi Chamber of Commerce Trunk or Treat: Deadline Nearing

The Carmi Chamber of Commerce, along with the City of Carmi, will be putting together a Trunk or Treat for area children on October 31 from 5:30- 7pm. Thanks to the generosity of First Bank, we will be using the parking lot behind City Hall and portions of First Bank. We invite our members, local businesses, churches and community organizations to participate and hand out treats to children.

Set up will being at 4:45pm and we plan to provide treats from 5:30pm-7pm. The Carmi Police Department Auxiliary will be helping with traffic flow and lining up children. Because this is geared for children, we asked that your decorations and costumes be friendly and not scary, especially to younger children.

While not required, the Chamber of Commerce will be participating in the Teal Pumpkin Project. We will be displaying a teal pumpkin and providing non food treats for children with food allergies. If your organization would like to do this as well, we will provide a Teal Pumpkin Project flyer for display at your booth.

The Chamber of Commerce hopes that this will provide a new opportunity for your business or organization to make potential new client contacts while providing a service to our community. A limited number of spots are available to hand out treats and will be reserved on a first come, first serve basis. There is no charge for your business or organization to participate other than the cost of treats you wish to provide those in attendance.

Should you wish to participate, please fill out a registration form and return it to the Chamber office by October 24, 2019, so we have ample time to spread the word about this event.

If you are not planning to participate, but plan to have Trick-or-Treaters at your place of business, please let the Chamber office know and we will help spread the word for you as well.

Should you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact the Chamber office at 618-382-7606 or [email protected] or Holly Healy with the City of Carmi at 618-384-2001 or [email protected].
