James I. “Jim” Gray, 76, of Wayne City, Illinois, died Saturday January 18, 2020, at 12:55 p.m., at Linda E. White Hospice House in Evansville, Indiana. He was born August 28, 1943, the son of Ivan and Xena Murray Gray. He married Shirley White on July 1, 1977 in Hamilton County, Illinois.
Jim was retired from GE Aerospace and served as a deacon at Temple Baptist Church in McLeansboro.
Survivors include his wife Shirley, a son Jeff Holland of Richmond, Virginia, a daughter Jamie Gray of Wayne City, and three grandchildren Nathon Holland of Akron, Ohio, Brennon Yarnell of Wayne City, and Grayson Habermaas of Wayne City. 2 great grandchildren also survive.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
A memorial service will be held at a later date under the direction of Richardson Funeral Home in Wayne City.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Crouch Cemetery and will be accepted at Richardson Funeral Home which is in charge of arrangements.
