Wabash River Bridge Crash
While details are still incomplete, there is new information on the four vehicle crash Tuesday near the Wabash River Bridge on Illinois 141.
According to reports, a semi-truck trailer was attempting to turn onto County Road 1600 East, when a pickup truck crashed into the rear of another pickup, which caused that truck to rear-end a passenger car.
Illinois State Police indicated the passenger car, crossed the center line and hit the semi, which caught fire.
The driver of the second pickup was transported to a hospital by helicopter with serious injuries.
At this time, the State police have not identified those involved in the crash.
