White County Democrats to Host Open House
The White County Democratic Central Committee has a new Carmi headquarters and plan an Open House next week to celebrate the official opening.
The headquarters, located in the building next to CVS Pharmacy on Outer West Main Street will be election headquarters through the November 6th General Election.
Local Democratic Committee Chairperson, Nancy Mitchell, explained supporters of local and state Democratic candidates will be able to pick up campaign signs at the headquarters throughout the next few weeks.
She also explained the building will be busy each evening as the local Democrats host a phone bank from 4 to 8 through the November election.
The local Democrats will be busy through the month of October, as the annual Ladies Salad luncheon will be held October 15 at the Carmi VFW Post. There will also be a free chili supper, Saturday, Nov. 3, prior to the November 6th election. Local Democratic candidates will also be participating in a planned Candidates Forum to be presented by WROY/WRUL.
