Carmi Police Make Two Arrest

Carmi Police arrested an Enfield woman after she was caught attempting to steal several items from the Dollar General Store, Thursday afternoon.

Holly Jo Miller, 30, of 105 N. First Street, Enfield was arrested and during a search, additional stolen items were found in her purse. Miller was then searched and a baggy containing white powder, which tested positive for methamphetamine was discovered in her pocket.Miller was transported to the City County Jail for processing and charged with retail theft and possession of methamphetamine. She remained in custody early this(fri) morning.

In a non-related incident, authorities picked up Austin J. O’Dell on a warrant for retail theft. He was located on Steven Street around 2:30 Thursday afternoon.

O’Dell was taken to the City County Jail, where he posted $150 cash bond and $20 booking fee prior to his release from custody.
