Little Wabash To Crest
The Little Wabash River continues to overflow its banks, as flooding continues along the river.
The river was at 30.3 feet Sunday night, but is expected to crest at that stage, later today (Monday) and begin a slow fall. The National Weather Service indicated it should fall below flood stage by Thursday evening.
Flood stage in Carmi is 27 feet.
Some area farmers continue to harvest crops along the flooded banks of the Little Wabash, as well as the Skillet Fork and Big Wabash, here in White County and surrounding area.
