Grayville Council Approves Halloween Celebration.

 

The Grayville City Council met in regular session Monday night, covering a number of items in about thirty minutes.

The council approved a request from the Grayville Community Arts Association to block off downtown for the October 27 Halloween celebration; the Boo Bash.

The aldermen approved pouring a concrete pad for ADA accessible parking at the horseshoe pits, but took no action on firepits at the Hilltop Campground.

Ameren will be able to use some city property for staging purposes during and after storms.

The aldermen were asked to vacate a portion of Silver Street, but took no action on that request.

The council also discussed water filtration, but took no action on that discussion.

Aldermen were reminded the Grayville Chamber of Commerce annual dinner is set for September 20 and September 18 is the first day to circulate petitions for next spring’s municipal elections.
