Carmi Police Arrest Two on Drug Related Charges
Carmi City Police arrested two local residents shortly after midnight this (Tuesday) morning.
According to the incident report, authorities stopped a Dodge mini van on Oak Street at Commerce Street, because the license plates were expired, and not on the correct vehicle.
The driver, 35 year old Kristin M. Brown of 404 Illinois Street, Carmi was arrested on a charge of unlawful use of registration.
Following a search, a cannabis pipe was discovered and a further search revealed an additional pipe, along with two meth-pipes and a small amount of methamphetamine.
Also arrested in that incident was 26 year old Daniel G. Desper of rural Carmi.
Both Desper and Brown remained in custody, early this (tue) morning. Additional charges are likely to be filed against both, Brown and Desper.
