Adam Allen, director of the White County Ambulance Service will be discussing the proposed public safety tax, specifically designated for ambulance service at the City Council meeting, set for Tuesday at 5:30.
Area residents wanting to know more about the proposed tax are urged to attend Tuesday’s meeting.
The council is expected to accept a low bid for the Epworth Road project in the amount of $48,764. The Alderman will also be asked to authorize Mayor Jeff Pollard and Clerk Cynthia Attebury to approve the project documents.
Other business includes a resolution of support and commitment of local funds from the Revolving Loan Fund. . This action concerns the recent state mandated close of all partner loan programs with municipalities.
Other business before the board is expected to be routine, such as paying the bills and approving minutes. The Carmi City Council normally meets the first and third Tuesday of each month. Those meetings begin at 5:30.
