Carmi Police Arrest Two in Unrelated Cases
Carmi City Police arrested two people in unrelated cases Thursday, the first arrested Thursday morning and a second arrest made Thursday evening.
Local authorities arrested Larry R. Tyree, 29, of 510 Sycamore Street, around 7:30 Thursday morning after a bystander called police after seeing Tyree pursuing 31 year old Brandi Holland of 304 Church Street, Carmi.
According to the police report, Tyree was apprehended on Stewart Street, near Fourth Street and transported to the City-County Jail on several charges. Those charges include unlawful restraint, battery and criminal damage to property.
Early this morning Tyree remained in custody.
The second arrest came around 6:30 last (thur) night when officers observed a mini-van blocking the alley behind Danny’s Pool Room. Police determined 56 year old Patti Hyatt of 704 West Main Street, Crossville, owned the van and she was wanted on a Wabash County warrant. Hyatt was located in the pool room and arrested.
She remained in custody early this morning on a $200 cash bond.
