Carmi Police have a quiet Memorial Day weekend

Carmi Police arrested 23 year old David Potter of McLeansboro following a traffic stop Friday morning for driving on a suspended license.  Potter was pulled over on Oak Street at 8:48 am and was also cited for operating a vehicle with a suspended registration.  Potter was released from the White County Jail after posting a $150 bond.

Sunday afternoon, Carmi Police stopped 25 year old David Maddux of Thompsonville on Oak Street and arrested him for possession of methamphetamine and driving on a suspended license.  Maddux was taken into custody at 1:15 pm and is being held at the White County Jail  pending a court hearing, and was also charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and cited for operating an uninsured motor vehicle.

 

Monday afternoon, Karen Brown reported to Carmi Police that someone had stolen a utility trailer from her residence on Shipley Street.
