Three sentenced Monday in White County Court

Three individuals were sentenced in White County Court on Monday according to States Attorney Denton Aud.

41 year old Olivia Miller of Enfield was sentenced to three years on a charge of possession of methamphetamine and three years on a charge of unlawful use of property.  The two sentences will run concurrently, and Miller will be under mandatory supervised release following incarceration.  Both the Carmi Police Department and White County Sheriff’s Department participated in the investigations.

27 year old Austin Heffington of Carmi was sentenced to five years on a charge of forgery and five years on a charge of possession of a controlled substance.  The two sentences will run concurrently, and Heffington will be under mandatory supervised release for one year.  The Carmi Police Department investigated the case, with Grayville Police making the arrest.

27 year old Misty McFarland of Carmi did not appear for her hearing, and was sentenced to five years on a charge of forgery with one year of mandatory supervised release.  A warrant with no geographical restrictions or bond was issued for her arrest.  If anyone has knowledge of McFarland’s whereabouts, they are asked to contact law enforcement immediately.

All three defendants were also ordered to pay all mandatory fines, fees, costs, and assessments.  Judge T Scott Webb issued all three sentences, and Public Defender Brian Shinkle represented the defendants.
