28 year old Devin Ward of Crossville was arrested by the White County Sheriff’s Department with assistance from the Carmi Police K-9 unit on Friday after attempting to flee when officers arrived at the apartments at 4th and Allen Streets to investigate a separate incident. Ward was wanted on a White County warrant. He gave up peacefully and was transported to the White County Jail.
Sunday afternoon, Nathan Whetstone reported that someone entered an oil lease he owned at 1150 East and 1100 North and opened a valve, spilling approximately 30 barrels of oil and 60 barrels of salt water. The firewall was reported breach by the spill.
