Carmi Police arrested 22 year old Carmen Ray Chitwood of Carmi Friday afternoon on a White County warrant for theft. Chitwood was taken into custody at his residence on Stewart Street at 4:55 pm, and was transported to the White County Jail. He was later released after posting a $150 bond.
Saturday morning, 51 year old Louis Hollingsworth was arrested on a charge of domestic battery by Carmi Police. Hollingsworth was placed under arrest at 11:46 am at a residence on Robinson Street and is being held at the White County Jail without bond pending a court hearing.
32 year old Levi Browning of Carmi was arrested following a traffic stop by Carmi Police Saturday night. Browning was wanted on a White County warrant for retail theft, and was stopped at 9:45 pm at the intersection of Smith and Sixth Streets. Browning was also cited for possession of cannabis. He was later released from the White County Jail after posting a $150 bond.
Sunday morning, 21 year old Michial Thomas of Carmi was arrested at his Maple Street residence on a White County warrant for failure to register as a sex offender. Thomas was taken into custody just after 11:33 am and is being held at the White County Jail in lieu of a $2500 bond.
