In Gallatin County Court Monday, 26 year old Austin Perrone of Shawneetown pleaded guilty to charges of burglary and theft according to States Attorney Douglas Dyhrkopp.
Perrone was sentenced under a negotiated plea agreement in front of Judge Thomas Foster. He received a six year term on the burglary charge and five years on the theft charge. The two sentences will run concurrently. Perrone also will be under mandatory supervised release for two years and was ordered to pay all mandatory fines, fees, and assessments as well as make restitution.
The charges stem from the burglary of a cabin in Gallatin County and the case was investigated by the Gallatin County Sheriff’s Department, Shawneetown Police Department, and Ridgeway Police Department.
